Meet Steve & Liz Parker, Owner/Operators of New World Bishopdale
Steve & Liz have been the Owner/Operators of New World Bishopdale since April 2003.
Steve started his grocery career doing an after school job stacking empty lemonade bottles for a local supermarket in Geraldine. He then moved to Dunedin where he worked for GUS, then New World Centre City. Steve was the Store Manager at New World Centre City when the opportunity to purchase New World Bishopdale came up. Steve & Liz purchased New World Bishopdale in April 2003, relocating the family of three boys & the family cat!
Since our time at Bishopdale we have been fortunate to relocate the supermarket from the rear of the mall to its current location. The new store offers a larger supermarket, better location & increased car parking. We also have a loyal staff, some of which have been here for over 20 years.
Bishopdale has a fabulous community and we are privileged to be able to serve them.

Gluten Free Section Instore
New World Bishopdale aims to have one of the best ranges of Gluten Free in Christchurch. Not only do we have a designated area for the Gluten free, we also ticket the whole store with Gluten Free labels – to make it easier for our customers to locate Gluten Free products.

Serve Over Butchery
Here at New World Bishopdale we have a Serve Over Butchery. This has fabulous cuts of meat, such as Flinestone Steaks, Lamb Racks and 14 different flavours of our Storemade Gourmet Sausages. We can also cut our meat to order.
