Jim Turner or Gentleman Jim as he is known to those who know him best has been in the Grocery business for his entire life and has been servicing the needs of the friendly folk at Fendalton and northwest Christchurch since 1936.
Jim believes the customer is number one and all staff are reminded of that when they meet Jim for the first time and hear the mantra “…treat our customers well, they pay your wages and mine and are most likely my friends..”.
With this attitude to customers Fendalton New World has become a successful supermarket where people enjoy their weekly shopping and in some cases have been doing so for generations.
