We have been operating in Halswell since 1991 and during that time we have watched Halswell grow from a sleepy suburb on the outskirts of Christchurch through major development to its current form. During that time we have tried to match and anticipate the changing demands of our customers.

Summers Abundance at New World Halswell
The Produce Department is now groaning with the delights of summer. Hot sunny day’s demand colourful, healthy salads and we have for you, lettuce, spring onions, red onions, colour peppers, radish herbs and new potatoes. Christmas day and roast lamb needs roast pumpkin, parsnip, kumara, fresh peas and beans, but let’s save the best till last. Dessert and the choice is yours, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries and boysenberries, dipped in chocolate or adorning your own creation. Cheese board, Christmas cake, grapes and sliced pears.

"nah Sam you’re not big enough" replied Stan
Sam decided he wanted to be special too, so he lazed in the hot sun and drank all the water that he could and soon he was nearly as big as Stan.
