Yummy Apples for New Zealanders

For a perfectly juicy apple, look for the Yummy sticker. Eco-friendly Yummy apples are grown in New Zealand’s very own fruit bowl – the Hawke's Bay – and packed fresh every day.

Five generations of the Paynter family have been growing Yummy apples since 1870, and because they’re grown especially for New Zealanders (not the export market) you can be sure you'll get the pick of the crop.

Wow - so many "anti-sticker" posts!! Doesn't everyone wash their fruit before eating? How hard is it really just to pull the sticker off the piece of fruit, wash it and then eat it. The glue does not contaminate the fruit. Get real people!!! I love to polish my apples before eating - so any stickers would come off anyway.....

I do not like the stickers too and how much time is waisted in putting them on the fruit. I buy the fruit I like sticker or no sticker so why bother to put them on. Apples are the best fruit to add to a diet and most deffinately help in weight management. Grated apples with the skin on makes a lovely salad mixed with a little Newmans light salad dressing and add a hand full of raisens and chopped almonds.

Contaminating fruit with glue and other chemicals is not eco-friendly! I do not buy such fruit.

"Look for the Yummy sticker"? Are the stickers actually yummy? Have you changed them? All too often I find the sticker after it hits my oesophagus, setting off a hacking coughing fit to bring it back up. When I find stickers on supermarket fruit, I stick them over the nearest barcode.
