Meet Matthew and Sheree, Local Owners
We are extremely proud to be the owners of New World Papakura, as of 12th September 2011.
Matthew has been involved in the supermarket industry for the last five years, including two years as the owner of Four Square Ohope Beach. Prior to that Matthew spent 15 years playing professional cricket (he is a former Black Cap) and completed a BMS majoring in Accounting and Marketing at Waikato University.
Sheree is a Chartered Accountant and former partner of an Accounting practice in Tauranga. She recently sold her practice of 10 years to support Matthew in his supermarket career and become a Mum to their two wonderful children, Tayla and Joshua. Sheree also represented New Zealand in sport – Badminton.
Our purpose at New World Papakura is “striving everyday to be a wonderful place to shop and work”. This includes offering great quality products, great value and outstanding customer service.
