Recipe notes

Kiwifruit – Any type of kiwifruit will work well in this recipe – either green or gold! If you use gold kiwifruit, your crumble may be slightly sweeter.

Sugar – We suggest using caster sugar or white sugar for your crumble mixture – but brown sugar will also work if it’s all you have handy.

FAQ

Can I add spices to the mixture for extra flavour?
Sure! Crumbles are often associated with cinnamon and cardamom, especially if they’re being eaten in Autumn! Alternatively, you could try our Apple and kiwifruit Anzac crumble for a slightly different version of an old favourite.

What should you serve with Kiwifruit crumble?
Kiwifruit crumble is perfect in the summer with a big scoop of ice cream. We love this Honey ice cream recipe! It’s also great in Winter with lashings of hot Super custard

What should you do with Kiwifruit crumble leftovers?
Crumbles are equally delicious the next day – and can even make a tasty breakfast! Just keep in mind that the crumble topping may not be as crunchy if reheated in the microwave.
