Creamy mushrooms on toast
Perfect for a brunch date, these creamy mushrooms on toast are absolutely heavenly when served over your choice of buttered toasted bread. Ready in 30 minutes, for the best morning meal.

- 60g butter
- 400g mixed mushrooms, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp thyme leaves
- 1 ½ cups cream
- Your favourite bread, toasted
Method
- In a large frying pan, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Sauté the mushrooms for 5-7 minutes or until golden.
- Add garlic and thyme. Cook for a further minute or until fragrant.
- Pour in the cream, season with salt and pepper and stir to combine. Simmer for 10-15 minutes or until slightly thickened.
- Serve the creamy mushrooms over your choice of buttered and toasted bread.
Tips:
- For extra flair add a sprinkling of grated parmesan and freshly chopped parsley before indulging.
