Supporting City Missions and Local Foodbanks.

Our Family2Family Foodbank Appeal is back! To help support, New World is donating $250,000 to City Missions and local foodbanks. Keen to get involved? See below on how you can help support the local community and families in need this winter.

How to donate

Foodbank-Friendly Pre-Filled Bags

We have $20 pre-filled bags that are loaded up and ready to go with a selection of foodbank-friendly items. You can get a bag in store or purchase while shopping online. Drop the bag off at the collection point in your local New World, or if you’ve purchased online, we’ll drop it off for you.

Dontate with New World Dollars

This year, we’ve made it possible to support Family2Family with your New World Dollars. You can simply add a $20 pre filled bag either in store or online and then with your New World Dollar balance, can choose to allocate as much or as little of it towards the transaction as you like.
What are foodbank-friendly products?

Our local foodbanks desperately need non-perishable products that are typical household essentials. These may be anything from canned goods and spreads, tea and coffee, rice and pasta to non-food products like soap, toothpaste, shampoo and sanitary products.

Look out for foodbank-friendly products highlighted in your local New World.
Tins of soup, baked beans, spaghetti, fruit and vegetables, soup, kidney beans, mixed beans, chickpeas, tomatoes, pasta sauce.
Things that make a hearty base of a meal like rice, pasta and noodles are good.
Breakfast cereal is a great staple and things for the pantry like sugar, flour, tea bags and crackers.
Hygiene basics are important like soap, toilet paper and tampons.
