Ways to Shop at New World
Shop online and choose home Delivery or pick-up with Click & Collect or visit your local New World and shop in-store. Select stores offer Express Delivery or Delivery Pass. Note: all online orders have a bag fee max of $1.50, regardless of Collect or Delivery preferences.

Online Shopping
Online shopping lets you browse, build a trolley and choose your preferred Delivery or Collect options at checkout. It's useful for planning ahead, saving time and keeping track of spend while shopping.
How it works
Browse or search for products on the New World website or app, add items to your trolley, choose a Delivery option or Click & Collect, select a timeslot, and check out. To make future shops even easier, save shopping lists or reorder from items you've bought before.
You can also leave notes for your Personal Shopper to help tailor your order. For example, you can request that 1kg of mince is packed into two 500g portions or ask for avocados that will be ready to eat by the time you collect your order - try it out!
Need to make a change on your standard delivery? You can edit your order after it's been placed, giving you more flexibility if your plans change.
What you need to get started
You need a Club+ account to log in to the New World website or app before placing an order - log in or register for a Club+ account here.
Payment options & requirements
Regardless of Click & Collect or Delivery, payment is made online. You can pay either by credit or debit card - Visa or Mastercard. American Express cards may also be accepted at selected stores. You can also pay with Club+ dollars if you have an available balance or spend your ASB True Rewards dollars in store at New World by simply using your True Rewards card the same way you would your EFTPOS card in store.
We can’t accept New World Gift Cards, Christmas Club funds, Farmlands or True Rewards cards for online shopping at the moment.
For additional security, if it’s your first time picking up an online order from our store, we may ask you to show us ID and the payment card that was used to purchase the order.
Costs, fees & minimum spend
Costs and fees are dependent on your preferred Delivery or Collect option. Check out the comparison table above if you want to see how each option compares against each other.
All online orders have a bag fee of 30c each to a maximum $1.50 charge. Note: we'll be including a $1.50 bag fee upfront. Once we've packed your order, we'll adjust the bag fee if fewer than 5 bags were used.
Timeframes / availability
Online ordering is available through the website or app, with delivery and collection times based on your local store's available timeslots - check out the timeslots your store offers here.

Delivery
Home Delivery lets you place an online order and have groceries delivered to your door. It's a convenient option for if you want your shop handled from order through to doorstep.
How it works
Place an online order, choose Delivery at checkout, select an available delivery timeslot and complete payment online. Your order is picked and delivered to the address provided.
What you need to get started
You need a valid delivery address to input here. From there, we'll suggest stores who can deliver to your address and once you select your store, you can see delivery options and timeslots available.
Costs, fees & minimum spend
North Island delivery fees: Spend $200 or more - $9 service fee. Spend under $200 - $14 service fee. South Island delivery fees: Spend $200 or more - $10 service fee. Spend under $200 - $15 service fee. Bag Fee: 30c each to a maximum $1.50 charge. Note: we'll be including a $1.50 bag fee upfront. Once we've packed your order, we'll adjust the bag fee if fewer than 5 bags were used.
Timeframes / availability
Since our stores are independently owned and operated, available timeslots differ. We aim to deliver your groceries within the timeframe you've selected.

Best for busy households, customers without easy transport, customers planning ahead, or anyone who wants groceries delivered without needing to visit store.
Click & Collect
Click & Collect lets customers place an order online then collect it from a participating New World store at a selected time.
How it works
You'll place an online order for your select store and payment is made online. Different stores may have different collection processes, such as Click & Collect lockers, an intercom system or a drive in Click & Collect area.
What you need to get started
Place an online order with your selected store, choose Collect at checkout, select your collection timeslot, then collect the order using the store's collection process.
Costs, fees & minimum spend
North Island service fees: Click & Collect: Spend $50 or more – free. Or spend under $50 - $5 service fee. South Island service fees: Click & Collect: All orders $3.50 service fee.
Timeframes / availability
Click & Collect timeslot availability is more frequent and usually runs in 1-hour increments - each store differs in the timeslots they offer.
Who it's best for
Best for customers who want to save on delivery fees, collect groceries around their schedule, or get an online order without waiting for a delivery window.
Express Delivery
Express Delivery lets you place an order and get groceries in as little as 60 minutes. Available in participating New World North Island stores.
How it works
Place an online order with a max of 30 items - your order will be picked and delivered to the address provided in as little as 60 minutes.
What you need to get started
You need a valid delivery address to input here. From there, we'll suggest stores who can deliver to your address and once you select your store, select 'Express Delivery' as your delivery option.
Costs, fees & minimum spend
North Island delivery fees: Max 30 items, no minimum spend - $9 service fee.
Timeframes / availability
Express Delivery doesn't have a timeslot or availability slot as once you place the order it will be delivered in as little as 60 minutes. However, the last delivery depends on the store's closing time.

Best for customers who need groceries quickly, have forgotten something, do not have easy transport, or want fast delivery without booking a standard delivery window.
Delivery Pass
Delivery Pass is a new service that 8 of our locally owned and operated stores are offering.
How it works
Sign up for a Delivery Pass subscription at a participating store that can deliver to your address. You get unlimited deliveries within the month, as long as the order is at least $80. You can cancel the subscription at any time.
What you need to get started
As with regular online shopping, you'll need to be a Club+ member. You also need a valid address that is in the participating store's delivery area and are shopping from their online store.
Costs, fees & minimum spend
$24.99, with a free 30-day trial for your first month. Minimum spend of $80 per online order.
Timeframes / availability
Choose any of your chosen participating store's standard delivery timeslot on any day of the week to book your delivery with Delivery Pass.

Best for customers who need groceries quickly, have forgotten something, do not have easy transport, or want fast delivery without booking a standard delivery window.
In-Store Shopping
In-store shopping lets you browse the aisles and choose your groceries in person. All our stores are 100% owned and operated by New Zealanders, so they're all unique in their own way.
How it works
You can visit your local New World, shop the aisles, shop all our specials plus in store only specials and pay at checkout or self-serve checkouts. This gives you the most control over selecting products in person and seeing if the product you want is in stock. If you have any questions, feel free to approach a friendly staff member for your queries.
What you need to get started
You can visit your local store during trading hours. Although you don't need a Club+ account to shop our stores, we recommend that you have a Club+ account set up so you can make the most of our Club+ Deal specials and earn Club+ Dollars you can spend at your next shop.
Payment options & requirements
Most of our stores have PayWave and Apple Pay available. We can take Mastercard, VISA and American Express, as well as Christmas Club payments and gift cards.

Shopping in store has no fees, upfront costs or minimum spend requirements.

Frequently asked questions
For Deliveries or Click & Collect orders which include alcohol, someone over the age of 18 will need to sign for the delivery and a proof of ID will be required. Valid forms of ID include an 18+ HANZ Card, a current NZ Driver’s Licence or a current Passport.
You've got a few options - if you prefer to call or speak to a staff member, feel free to contact the store directly through their number or in store. Otherwise, you can also fill out a contact us form, choose 'Products' from the enquiry type and fill out your details. From here, you can contact the store directly as well.
