The wines were judged using the same internationally recognised 100 point scoring system as other leading wine shows, which benchmarks entries against what a perfect wine should be like. A Gold medal wine in these awards is a superb example of its type and you can hold it to the same expectations as a Gold medal wine from other respected awards.
A focus on affordable and available wines means every entry must retail for $25 or less and have plenty of stock available for sale – at least 4,000 bottles for popular varieties, or 1,800 bottles for emerging varieties.
The wines were judged by an independent panel of 19 expert wine judges who blind-tasted and evaluated the wines over three days. This means judges only see the wine in the glass, they’re unaware of any brands and never saw any bottles. All they know is the varietal, vintage and country of origin. All the medal-winning wines are shown below. We hope you enjoy browsing the amazing breadth of medal winners and you can also find out more about the Top 50 drops on our Wine Finder.
