Ordering & availability
We deliver around selected suburbs. Enter your address in the 'Book a Slot' page and you will be able to view the stores near you and whether or not they offer New World Express Delivery. Select the store with an Express Delivery option and you will be able to choose New World Express Delivery as your delivery method. If no stores in your area currently offer New World Express Delivery, please check back again later - we’re continuously expanding New World Express Delivery to more locations.
Similar to how you place a standard delivery order, you can go to the 'Book a Slot' page and select the Express Delivery option if it's available at a store near you. Adding items to your cart and paying for your groceries works the same way as for standard delivery orders.
No, there is no minimum order required for New World Express Delivery.
Yes. We aim to be at your door within 60 minutes, so to ensure your order arrives within that timeframe, there’s currently a limit of 30 items for New World Express Delivery.
Unfortunately not. You will need to cancel your order and place a new order with New World Express Delivery as your fulfilment method.
Because New World Express Delivery is so quick, your order will already be in the picking process, so no further changes can be made.
Delivery & timing
We aim to be at your door within 60 minutes.
New World Express Delivery is an on-demand service. When you place your order, we aim to get it to you as soon as possible.
You can check out your order in the 'My Orders' section on the website or New World app for its status. You’ll also get a text message from us when your order is on its way with our driver, and it will have a link to a delivery tracker so you can track your order.
You can check out your delivery tracker to track your order. This will let you know how far away your order is. If you’re worried it's too late, please call our friendly customer service team.
If you’ve chosen contactless delivery and there are no restricted items (eg, alcohol) in your order, we can leave it at your door. The driver will take a photo as proof of delivery.
If you have not chosen contactless delivery, the driver will bring your order back to the store regardless. In this case, you will receive a refund for your order, except for the service fee.

Yes! We offer both fresh and frozen products with New World Express Delivery, so you can get everything you need in one quick order.
Yes, this option is available at checkout.
Alcohol availability depends on your location. Please refer to the New World website or app to check for any regional restrictions.
If you do order alcohol, the person receiving the delivery must present a valid form of identification to confirm they are at least 18 years old. Accepted forms of ID are current New Zealand Driver's Licence, current Passport or current HANZ 18+ card.
Our drivers are required to process valid identification when delivering alcohol. If no acceptable ID is presented at the time of delivery, the driver will return the entire order to the store.
In such cases, you will be refunded the full value of your order, excluding for the delivery fee.
Customer support & issues
Unfortunately we are unable to accept changes or cancellations once your order has been placed, as picking begins as soon as your order is received to ensure timely delivery.
Refunds go back on the card you paid with - timing is dependent on your bank. It can take between 5-7 business days.
To help ensure successful delivery, please provide clear and specific delivery instructions when placing your order (eg, “down the long driveway, blue fence”)
If the driver has difficulty locating your address, they may contact you by phone for clarification.
