Monster promotion

1. Entry into this competition is deemed acceptance of these and any other applicable terms and conditions. This competition may have additional terms and conditions and wherever possible the additional terms and conditions will be posted at www.newworld.co.nz.

Promoters

2. The Promoters of this competition are Foodstuffs (N.Z.) Limited (‘Foodstuffs’) and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners New Zealand Limited, The Oasis, 19 Carbine Road, Mt Wellington, Auckland (“CCEP”) (‘Supplier’) jointly (Promoters). Monster Energy AU Pty Ltd. is not the promoter of the Promotion. The Promotion is administered on behalf of the Promoter by Farrimond Limited, located at 7 Abbey St, Auckland City, Auckland (“Administrator”). The Monster Energy brand names, logos and/or materials are used for the purposes of promotion and/or prize descriptions only and such use is not intended to suggest or imply Monster Energy AU Pty Ltd’s sponsorship of this Promotion.

Promotion Period and how to enter

3. The competition commences on 24/08/26 and runs until close of trade on 20/09/26 (Promotion Period).

Eligible Purchase

4. You will receive one entry in the draw when you purchase any 2 (two) 500mL Monster Energy products or 1 (one) multipack (4x250ml) of Monster Energy products (all variants but excluding vending machine purchases) during the Promotion Period and scan your Clubcard card instore at the time of payment, or when you enter your Clubcard details before the time of payment for online shopping purchases (Eligible Purchase) at all New World stores nationwide plus online at www.newworld.co.nz/shop and through the New World mobile application. When you make an Eligible Purchase, you will automatically be entered into the draw.

5. You will only receive one entry into the competition even if you purchase multiple participating products in your Eligible Purchase.

Eligibility to enter and to win a prize

6. To be eligible to enter this competition and win a prize:

a) you cannot be an employee, director, manager, officer or contractor of the Promoter, its related bodies corporate, a Participating Store, the Supplier, or any other agency, firm or company associated with this Promotion (including suppliers of Prizes), or an immediate family member of any such person;
b) you must have made an Eligible Purchase from a Participating Store;
c) you must be a current Club+ member;
d) you must be a New Zealand resident and 18 years of age or older;
e) you must consent to Foodstuffs using your name, photo, hometown and image for publicity and promotional purposes (including the display of your name in store) and you must make yourself available for publicity photographs relating to the competition on request for no additional compensation.
f) you can take the prize (being a trip to Whistler, Canada) during the fulfilment period between 1st October 2026 and 31st March 2027 (to be confirmed by the Promoter upon booking);
g) you hold a current and valid passport with a minimum of 6 months’ validity at date of travel.

7. Entries which in the reasonable opinion of the Promoters:

a) are received outside the Promotion Period;
b) contain defamatory, offensive or inappropriate content or infringe intellectual property rights;
c) are incomplete or indecipherable; or
d) do not otherwise comply with these Terms and Conditions, will be invalid and ineligible for any prize.

How winners will be selected

8. The Prize Winner will be drawn by Foodstuffs (or its agent) on 05/10/26 by random selection from all valid entries received during the Promotion Period. The eligible Prize Winner drawn will win a trip to Whistler, Canada for both the winner and their 1 adult companion (“Prize”). The Prize is not transferable, redeemable and may not be exchanged for cash. The Winner and their companion must both be 18+ to be eligible for this trip. The Prizes include:

2 x return international economy flights from Auckland to Vancouver, Canada;
All airline and airport taxes;
Private return transfers from Vancouver airport to Whistler accommodation;
6 nights’ accommodation (minimum 4 star) twin share (or similar) (as determined by the Promoter) in Whistler, Canada, on dates to be confirmed between 1st October 2026 and 31st March 2027.
$2,000NZD VISA International debit card (or equivalent) for the winner only, to go towards any additional transfers and incidental spending requirements. Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the Visa International debit card are not included. Redemption of the Visa debit card is subject to the terms and conditions associated with the Visa International debit card.

9. The total Prize pool is valued at up to $16,000NZD.

10. The Prize is subject to any pandemic restrictions, any travel/government restrictions/directives, border closures, health advice and the like.

11. By accepting or participating in the Promotion, or receiving the Prize, you and your companion accept these Terms and Conditions.

If prize becomes unavailable

12. Subject to any applicable law that cannot be excluded, the Promoters are not responsible or liable for any loss suffered by any entrant in the event that a prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond its control. In this event, the Promoters may substitute a prize of their choice.

Notifying winners

13. The Winner will be notified by Foodstuffs or the Suppliers Promotional Agency once a draw has been completed within 5 working days of the draw, via the contact details on record for the Clubcard used to enter the competition. In the event that a Winner cannot be contacted within 5 working days of a draw occurring or if the Promoters determine that a Winner is not eligible to participate in a draw, the Prize will be forfeited. A further draw will be conducted using the same eligibility criteria, and the prize allocated to the new winner.

14. The Promoters are not responsible if a winner cannot be contacted following the draw due to incorrect or out of date contact details being recorded in the Club+ system, and any such winner will forfeit the prize to the next eligible winner, on these Terms and Conditions.

Prize conditions

Travel Package - Terms and conditions

For the avoidance of doubt, any travel provided by the Promoter requires that the winner and their companion make their own way to Auckland International Airport, including any domestic travel within New Zealand required at their own cost.
All bookings and inclusions regarding the Travel Prize must be made via the Promoter’s chosen travel agent.
Redeeming the Prize is conditional to accepting the terms and conditions as detailed by the Promoter and in accordance with normal travel practices.
All travel is subject to availability and may be dependent on specific booking classes with airlines or specific room categories with accommodation partners.
All airline, accommodation and supplier options are at the Promoter’s discretion.
No part of the prize is redeemable for cash. It is non-refundable and not transferable.
Winner and companion must hold valid passports with a minimum of 6 months validity prior to departure.
Winner is responsible for any amendment fees issued by airlines or suppliers once the booking is approved and issued.
Visas, valid passports, additional spending money, meals and other ancillary costs, including but not limited to travel insurance and insurance excesses, not listed in the travel prize package inclusions, are the responsibility of the travel Winner and their travel companion.
Winner and their travel companion must hold valid travel insurance for their period of travel. It is the Winner’s responsibility to organize transport to and from the airport departure and return point.

15. The Promoter will pay all airline taxes, fuel surcharges, levies and ticketing taxes payable at time of booking.

16. Additional transfers other than those specified and any Ground Operator Handling Fees are not included in the Prize. Travel insurance is not included and is the full responsibility of the winner. Selection of airline, departure times and accommodation venue is at the Promoter’s discretion at the time of booking. Airline travel, airport transfers and accommodation are subject to the relevant supplier’s standard terms and conditions and the Promoter will not be liable for any act or omission of any third party providing those services.

17. The Winner and their companion are responsible for all other expenses including but not limited to travel insurance, meals, drinks, laundry charges, activities (unless specified), car hireage, hotel incidentals and in room charges, service charges, gratuities and additional taxes. Unless expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions all other travel and Prize related expenses become the responsibility of the Winner and their companion.

18. Any costs for changes made by the Winner to the Prize after it has been booked must be paid by the winner. The winner will be required to present a valid credit card when checking in to the accommodation.

19. Prior to being awarded the Prize, the Winner and companion will be required to:

a. show proof of their identity, age (18+); and
b. to the fullest extent permitted by law, sign a “Participation Agreement” in the form required by the Promoter, confirming acceptance of these Terms and Conditions relating to the Prize and releasing the Promoter, its officers, directors, shareholders, employees, advisors, assignees, agents, licensees, representatives, advertising and promotional agencies from any and all liability in connection with this Promotion.

20. If the Participation Agreements are not signed by the winner and their companion and returned to the Promoter within 5 (five) business days of receiving the Participation Agreement documents, the Prize will be forfeited and redrawn. Winners will be given a reasonable opportunity to review and consider the Participation Agreements before signing.

21. The Winner and their companion take the Prize entirely at their own risk and will be responsible for complying with all laws and requirements relating to the use of the Prize. Any failure by a winner and their companion to comply with the conditions imposed by the Prize supplier(s) may result in the Prize being cancelled or withdrawn without liability to the Promoter or the Prize supplier(s).

22. If a Winner and/or their companion are unable to take the Prize, due to any illness or personal circumstances beyond the winner’s or their companion’s control, the winner must immediately notify the Promoter. The Promoter may, at its sole discretion, allow the winner to nominate another person or persons to whom the Prize can be transferred and the Promoter will use all reasonable endeavours to transfer the Prize accordingly. Any costs associated with the transfer of the Prize in accordance with this clause will be the responsibility of the winner and their companion. The Promoter will not be liable if any part of the Prize is unable to be transferred to the person nominated by the winner.

23. If any Prize item is unavailable, despite the Promoter’s reasonable endeavours to procure it, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a different prize of equal or greater value.

24. If, in relation to any aspect of the Prize, the Winner (or the companion), in the opinion of the Promoter, is intoxicated, under the influence of alcohol or any other drug, behaves aggressively or offensively, or behaves in a manner which (a) may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or the agencies or companies associated with this Promotion, (b) is contrary to law or (c) is otherwise inappropriate, the Promoter may cancel or restrict the winner (or the companion) from participating in any elements of the Prize, at its reasonable discretion.

25. It is the responsibility of each winner and their companion to ensure that they have full and correct travel documentation, including but not limited to valid passports, visas, vaccination passes and required driver’s licences, which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities in New Zealand and at the destination. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be the sole responsibility of the winner and their companion.

26. It is the responsibility of each winner and his/her companion to meet any health and safety requirements applicable to the Prize.

27. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or negotiable and are not redeemable for cash.

28. The prize draw results are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Verifying compliance with these terms

29. The Promoters reserve the right to verify the identity of any entrant (including an entrant's identity, age, city/town of residence and place of employment) and to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry or refuse to award a prize where false or misleading details have been given by an entrant, or an entrant has behaved in a fraudulent or dishonest manner, or otherwise than in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

Exclusion of liability

30. Subject to any applicable laws which cannot be excluded, the Promoters (jointly or severally), any Participating Store, the Supplier, and their respective employees and agents will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature incurred or suffered by any person (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with this competition or claiming/winning, redeeming or benefiting from the prize.

31. If the Promotion is not capable of running as planned for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoters, including but not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, acts or omissions of third parties, technical failures, governmental restraint, order or regulation or anything which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, the Promoters reserve the right, in their sole reasonable discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion. Any cancellation, termination, modification or suspension of the Promotion will be notified on the New World website at www.newworld.co.nz.

Disputes

32. In the event of a dispute concerning any aspect of the competition including eligibility the decision of the Promoters will be final. No correspondence concerning any decision made by the Promoters will be entered into.

Additional terms

33. In addition to these Terms and Conditions, terms and conditions of your Club+ will also apply and can be viewed at clubplus.co.nz. If you make an Eligible Purchase online, Foodstuffs Supermarkets Online Shopping Terms and Conditions will also apply and can be viewed at clubplus.co.nz.

34. The Promoters reserve the right to amend, suspend or terminate the competition and these Terms and Conditions at any time.

35. Entries remain the property of the Promoters. Entrants license and grant the Promoters, their affiliates and sub-licensees a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, and sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish and display any content submitted in or with the entry for any purpose, including but not limited to future promotional, marketing or publicity purposes, in any media, without compensation, restriction on use, attribution or liability. Entrants consent to any dealings with their entry that may otherwise infringe any moral rights in the entry, to the extent permitted by law.

36. By submitting content as part of an entry to the competition, entrants release the Promoters, their respective employees, directors and officers from any and all liability for use and publication of the content, including any such liability that may arise under patent, trade mark, copyright, or any other applicable law. Entrants warrant that the content is their original work, that they are the sole author, and that they are able to provide the licence and releases required under these terms and conditions.

Privacy

37. Your personal information may be used to conduct this competition and for future promotional and publicity purposes in relation to this competition. By entering this competition, you consent to the use of your personal information for these purposes and we may use your personal information in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Foodstuffs’ Privacy Policy will apply to all personal information that Foodstuffs collects from you. The Supplier’s Privacy Policy will apply to all personal information that is collected by, or shared with, the Supplier.
