Terms and conditions
1. Entry into this competition is deemed acceptance of these and any other applicable terms and conditions. This competition may have additional terms and conditions and wherever possible the additional terms and conditions will be posted at www.newworld.co.nz.
Promoters
2. The Promoters of this competition are Foodstuffs (N.Z.) Limited (‘Foodstuffs’) and Asahi Beverages (NZ) Ltd (‘Supplier’) jointly (Promoters).
Promotion Period and how to enter
3. The competition commences on 02/11/26 and runs until close of trade on 29/11/26 (Promotion Period).
Eligible Purchase
4. You will receive one entry in the draw when you purchase any Asahi beer pack (including Asahi Super Dry, Asahi Nama Jokki, Asahi 0.0%, but excluding single cans of Asahi branded product) during the Promotion Period and scan your Club+ card instore at the time of payment, or when you purchase any Asahi beer product (as described above) online (Eligible Purchase) at all New World stores nationwide plus online at www.newworld.co.nz/shop and through the New World mobile application (Participating Stores).
5. You will only receive one entry into the competition even if you purchase multiple participating products in your Eligible Purchase.
Eligibility to enter and to win a prize
6. To be eligible to enter this competition and win a prize:
- a) you cannot be an employee or contractor of a Participating Store or the Supplier;
- b) you must have made an Eligible Purchase from a Participating Store;
- c) you must be a current Club+ member;
- d) you must be a New Zealand resident and 18 years of age or older;
- e) you must consent to Foodstuffs using your name, photo, hometown and image for publicity and promotional purposes (including the display of your name in store) and you must make yourself available for publicity photographs relating to the competition on request for no additional compensation.
7. Entries which in the reasonable opinion of the Promoters:
- a) are received outside the Promotion Period;
- b) contain defamatory, offensive or inappropriate content or infringe intellectual property rights;
- c) are incomplete or indecipherable; or
- d) do not otherwise comply with these Terms and Conditions,
will be invalid and ineligible for any prize.
How winners will be selected
8. Weekly Prize Draw: The Weekly Prize Draw will be drawn by Foodstuffs (or its agent) on 14/12/26 by random electronic selection. There are 4 separate Weekly Prize Draws in total with one (1) winner drawn from all eligible entries from each week of the Promotion Period as set out in the table below. The first eligible winner drawn from all entries received each week from the start of business Monday to the close of business Sunday – see table (Weekly Prize Draw) will win a $200 restaurant voucher for an Asahi Beverages on-premise venue of the winners choice. The Prize will be sent electronically to their nominated email address within 28 business days of the Weekly Prize Draw taking place. The voucher is subject to its own terms and conditions including the expiry date noted on the voucher.

9. Major Prize Draw: The Major Prize Draw will be drawn by Foodstuffs (or its agent) on 14/12/26 by random electronic selection from all entries.
The first eligible winner drawn will win a trip for two (2) adults (18+ years) to Tokyo, Japan valued up to NZD $15,800.00 RRP. The Major Prize includes:
- Return economy class flights for 2 adults from the winner’s nearest commercial New Zealand airport to Tokyo, Japan
- All airline and airport taxes
- Return private transfers from Tokyo airport to the accommodation in Tokyo
6 nights 4-star accommodation twin share
- Daily breakfast
- Choice of one (1) unique experience from the following selection:
o A Tokyo Go-Kart experience for 2 people. Choose your own route based on your interests. From Akihabara, Shibuya, to Tokyo Tower and more. (Height and weight restrictions apply. International Driving Permit required – instructions via AA will be provided) OR
o A private guided neon night photoshoot with a professional photographer. Explore the neon streets of Shibuya and Shinjuku. Receive high-resolution images of your neon experience.

10. The total prize pool is valued at NZD $15,800.00.
If prize becomes unavailable
11. Subject to any applicable law that cannot be excluded, the Promoters are not responsible or liable for any loss suffered by any entrant in the event that a prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond its control. In this event, the Promoters may substitute a prize of their choice.
Notifying winners
12. Winners will be notified by Foodstuffs or the Supplier within 5 working days of the draws being completed via the contact details on record for the Club+ card used to enter the competition. In the event that a winner cannot be contacted within 5 working days of a draw occurring or if the Promoters determine that a winner is not eligible to participate in a draw the prize will be forfeited, a further draw will be conducted using the same eligibility criteria, and the prize allocated to the new winner.
13. The Promoters are not responsible if a winner cannot be contacted following the draw due to incorrect or out of date contact details being recorded in the Club+ system, and any such winner will forfeit the prize to the next eligible winner, on these Terms and Conditions.
Prize conditions
14. All prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or negotiable and no part of the prize is redeemable for cash.
15. All prize draw results are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
16. The Major Prize is subject to additional terms and conditions specified by the Promoter’s nominated travel partner. The winners must accept and agree to the prize supplier terms in order to redeem the prize.
17. The Major Prize is valid for travel until 30 November 2027. Block out periods include all New Zealand School holiday dates, public holiday dates and any other special event periods. All bookings must be made a minimum of 45 days prior to requested departure dates, and inclusions regarding the Major Prize must be made via the Supplier’s chosen travel agent. Redeeming the Prize is conditional to accepting the terms and conditions as detailed by the Promoters and in accordance with normal travel practices. All travel is subject to availability and may be dependent on specific booking classes with airlines or specific room categories with accommodation partners. All airline and accommodation options are at the Supplier’s discretion. Winner and companions must hold valid passports with a minimum of 6 months validity prior to departure. Winner is responsible for any amendment fees issued by airlines or suppliers once the booking is approved and issued. Visas, valid passports, additional spending money, meals and other ancillary costs, including but not limited to travel insurance and insurance excesses, not listed in the Major Prize package inclusions, are the responsibility of the Major Prize winner and their travel companion(s). Major Prize winner and their travel companion must hold valid travel insurance for their period of travel. It is the winner’s responsibility to organise transport to and from the airport departure and return point.
18. As a condition of accepting the Major Prize, the prize must be taken in its entirety as specified in clause 9.
19. As a condition of accepting the Major Prize the winner and their travelling partner will be required to sign a Waiver and Indemnity form.
20. Any changes to travel or additional accommodation outside the travel period must be approved in advance by the Supplier and will be at the expense of the winner and any travelling companion as incurred. The Promoters are not responsible for the cancellation, delay or rescheduling of any part of the travel component and any costs incurred by the Major Prize winner or any travelling companion as a result (including accommodation costs) will be the responsibility of the Major Prize winner. The Major Prize winner is responsible for ensuring that they and their travelling companion are fit to travel and have received appropriate immunisations and/or health checks prior to travelling.
21. The Major Prize winner and their travel companion are responsible for obtaining and maintaining all passports, visas, travel authorisations and entry documents required for travel.
22. The Promoters make no representation as to safety, conditions and other issues that may exist at any destination and the winner should seek their own travel advice. The Major Prize winner accepts the Major Prize and all travel associated with attending the Major Prize trip at their own risk.
Verifying compliance with these terms
23. The Promoters reserve the right to verify the identity of any entrant (including an entrant's identity, age, city/town of residence and place of employment) and to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry or refuse to award a prize where false or misleading details have been given by an entrant, or an entrant has behaved in a fraudulent or dishonest manner, or otherwise than in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Exclusion of liability
24. Subject to any applicable laws which cannot be excluded, Foodstuffs, any Participating Store, the Supplier, and their respective employees and agents will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature incurred or suffered by any person (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with this competition or with winning, redeeming or benefiting from the prize.
Disputes
25. In the event of a dispute concerning any aspect of the competition including eligibility the decision of the Promoters will be final. No correspondence concerning any decision made by the Promoters will be entered into.

26. In addition to these Terms and Conditions, terms and conditions of your Club+ will also apply and can be viewed at clubplus.co.nz. If you make an Eligible Purchase online, Foodstuffs Supermarkets Online Shopping Terms and Conditions will also apply and can be viewed at clubplus.co.nz.
27. The Promoters reserve the right to amend, suspend or terminate the competition and these Terms and Conditions at any time.
28. Entries remain the property of the Promoters. Entrants license and grant the Promoters, their affiliates and sub-licensees a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, and sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish and display any content submitted in or with the entry for any purpose, including but not limited to future promotional, marketing or publicity purposes, in any media, without compensation, restriction on use, attribution or liability. Entrants consent to any dealings with their entry that may otherwise infringe any moral rights in the entry, to the extent permitted by law.
29. By submitting content as part of an entry to the competition, entrants release the Promoters, their respective employees, directors and officers from any and all liability for use and publication of the content, including any such liability that may arise under patent, trade mark, copyright, or any other applicable law. Entrants warrant that the content is their original work, that they are the sole author, and that they are able to provide the licence and releases required under these terms and conditions.
Privacy
30. Your personal information may be used to conduct this competition and for future promotional and publicity purposes in relation to this competition. By entering this competition, you consent to the use of your personal information for these purposes and we may use your personal information in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Foodstuffs’ Privacy Policy will apply to all personal information that Foodstuffs collects from you. The Supplier’s Privacy Policy https://www.asahibeverages.com/privacy-policy will apply to all personal information that is collected by, or shared with, the Supplier.
