- Prep time: 10 mins | Cooking time: 10 mins
Caramelised pork brings rich, savoury flavour to this satisfying noodle salad. A lovely balance of hearty and fresh, it’s a welcome choice for summer dinners and relaxed shared meals.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 600-700g pork sirloin steaks, thinly sliced, or pork mince
- ½ cup (125ml) teriyaki sauce
- 500g packet of colourful slaw or salad with a creamy dressing
- 100g crispy noodles
- 2 spring onions, sliced
- 1 red chilli, sliced
- ¼ cup mint leaves
Method
- Heat oil in a large wok or non-stick frying pan. Add pork and cook, stirring, for 2-3 mins or until just cooked. Add the teriyaki sauce and cook for 1-2 mins or until caramelised.
- In a bowl, toss slaw with three-quarters of the noodles and spring onion. Add enough dressing from salad kit to just coat the salad.
- Arrange slaw on a serving platter. Top with caramelised pork. Sprinkle over the chilli, mint and remaining noodles to serve.
- Switch it up: This tasty noodle dish will be just as flavourful using sliced chicken instead of pork.
