What are Fuelup vouchers?
Fuelup vouchers give you a discount off fuel at Z and participating Caltex petrol stations. You can earn Fuelup vouchers when you shop at certain New World supermarkets that do not have their own on-site fuel station.
Fuelup vouchers are issued to customers who make a qualifying purchase instore from a participating New World supermarket and do not swipe their Club+ card at checkout.
Why are Fuelup vouchers not available for Club+ members?

Which supermarkets do I need to shop at?
You can earn Fuelup vouchers at participating New World stores nationwide. View the full list of participating supermarkets here.
Where can I redeem my Fuelup vouchers?
You can redeem Fuelup vouchers at all Z and participating Caltex service stations.
How do I get my Fuelup voucher?
A Fuelup voucher is earned with a qualifying purchase. Participating store receipts will have the Fuelup voucher attached.
How much do I have to spend on groceries to get the discount?
To earn an Fuelup discount, you need to make a qualifying purchase with a minimum spend of $1 or more instore. We also offer other promotional discounts from time to time which may require you to spend more to gain the discount offered. Check your supermarket Fuelup voucher for the current offer.
What is a “qualifying purchase”?
Spend on certain products will not qualify. For example, spend on gift cards, tobacco products, NZ post products and services, Lotto, and some fees are excluded from earning a Fuelup voucher.

What discount do I get?
The fuel saving depends on the Fuelup promotional offer at any given time. Check the Fuelup Supermarket Fuel Voucher for the current offer.
What kinds of fuel can I get the discount on?
Fuelup vouchers can be redeemed for regular and premium unleaded petrol plus diesel. LPG, CNG, AvGas purchases are excluded. More information:

How much fuel can I buy with my Fuelup voucher?
Fuelup vouchers offer a monetary discount per litre off the purchase cost of fuel – determined by the promotional fuel saving offer at any given time. Fuelup vouchers can be redeemed for up to 100 litres per fill.
How do I redeem my Fuelup voucher?
Fuelup vouchers must be presented at the counter or Pay at Pump of any Z or participating Caltex service station.
Can I use my Fuelup voucher more than once?
No, Fuelup vouchers can be used once only.
Can I use my Fuelup voucher to fill more than one vehicle?
No, the voucher is valid for only one single tank fill of no more than 100 litres.
Can I present more than one Fuelup voucher at a time?
No, you can present only one voucher at a time for a discount at the service station.
How long does my Fuelup voucher last for?
Fuelup vouchers are valid for 30 days from the purchase date. The expiry date is printed on the voucher.
Can I use my commercial fleet card with my Fuel voucher?
No, Fuelup vouchers cannot be used with commercial fleet/fuel cards including Z Business Card.
Can I use my Fuelup voucher with other fuel discount promotional offers?
No, Fuelup vouchers cannot be combined with other fuel discount promotional offers.
With Z and Caltex accepting Fuelup Vouchers how will this impact other existing loyalty programmes at Z & Caltex or New World, like Airpoints?
Z, Caltex and Foodstuffs’ Club+ Programme are all part of the Air New Zealand Airpoints loyalty programmes. You will be able to earn Airpoints when you top up the tank at Caltex by scanning your Airpoints Card and can continue to earn Airpoints at Z as long as you’ve added your Koru number into your Z App and scan your Z Rewards digital barcode at the point of purchase. You will also still be able to earn Airpoints when you shop at New World and instore at Four Square (if you have selected to earn Airpoints) and scan or swipe your Club+ card or make a New World online shopping purchase. You must register as a Club+ shopping member to use New World online shopping.
Can I add a Fuelup Voucher discount to other fuel discount offers, to get a bigger overall fuel discount?

Can I use my Airpoints earning Club+ card at Z now to earn Airpoints when I buy fuel?
No sorry, you can’t. We are investigating whether we may be able to offer this in the future. For now, to earn Airpoints at Z you need to add your Koru number into your Z App and scan your Z Rewards digital barcode at the point of purchase.
Can I get a Fuelup Fuel voucher when I shop at New World online shopping?
You cannot earn a Fuelup voucher if you shop online. However, you may be eligible to earn a Club+ fuel discount. Find out more here: Help | Club+
Fuelup vouchers are only available if you do not use your Club+ card and you must register as a Club+ member to use New World’s online shopping service.
My Fuelup voucher doesn’t work - what should I do?
Sorry, we know it’s a pain but because the discounts are issued by your local supermarket you’ll need to talk to the store that issued you the Fuel Voucher. They’ll then investigate and resolve the issue.
Do I still get Airpoints Dollars on my grocery purchase?
Yes, if you are a Club+ Airpoints member, Airpoints dollars will still be awarded as per normal for qualifying purchases.
What sort of petrol does Z have?

Do I get a Fuelup voucher if I purchase a grocery gift card?
No, grocery gift cards are like legal tender, so the Fuel voucher will be generated when you ‘spend’ the grocery gift card, not buy them.
Do I get a Fuelup voucher if I purchase cigarettes or tobacco?
Cigarette or tobacco purchases do not contribute to the qualifying spend amount due to legal restrictions.
Do I get a Fuelup voucher if I purchase a Lotto ticket?
No, a purchase of a NZ Lotteries ticket does not qualify as a valid purchase for a Fuel voucher, so you would need to reach the discount spend limit excluding the NZ Lotteries ticket purchase.
Do I get a Fuelup voucher if I deposit funds to my Christmas Club account?
No, like grocery gift cards, deposits to your Christmas Club account are like legal tender, so the Fuel voucher will be generated when you "spend" your Christmas Club funds, not deposit them.
Do I get a Fuelup voucher if I top up my travel card?
No, top ups of travel cards, such as AT Hop Cards and Snapper Cards do not contribute to the qualifying spend.
Do I get a Fuelup voucher if I purchase a phone top up card?
No, a purchase of a phone top up card does not qualify as a valid purchase for a Fuel voucher, so you would need to reach the discount spend limit excluding the phone top up purchase.
Do I get a Fuelup voucher if I purchase a Prezzie Cards, Bonfire Cards, Gift card?
No, a purchase of a Prezzie Cards, Bonfire Cards or any other Giftcard does not qualify as a valid purchase for a Fuel voucher.
Can I get Fuelup vouchers at all New World supermarkets?
No, some New World supermarkets have a fuel outlet at their location, so they do not offer Fuelup vouchers. Instead, they offer discount vouchers for their own on-site fuel stations, so you will still earn fuel savings no matter which New World you shop at.
