Carrot, potato and parsnip purée - stage 2 baby food

Cooking time: 20 minutes

Root vegetables like carrot and parsnip have a natural sweetness loved by babies. Don’t use a food processor on this recipe as the potato will turn to glue, so a sieve or mouli is best.

  • 175g Carrots
  • 175g Potatoes
  • 125g Parsnips

  1. Peel and chop the carrots, potatoes and parsnips and put them into a saucepan.
  2. Just cover with water and boil for about 20 minutes, until tender.
  3. Using some of the cooking water blend to a purée to the appropriate consistency.
