Pear and prune purée - stage 2 baby food

Cooking time: 5 - 7 mins

Useful as a source of fibre, the prunes will get anything moving! The good news is that it tastes good too, although younger babies may prefer this purée mixed with baby rice.





  • 2 Pears
  • 2 Dried prunes


  1. Peel, core and chop the pears and put into a saucepan with a little water.
  2. Add the stoned, chopped dried prunes.
  3. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Blend to a purée to the appropriate consistency.
  5. Sieve to get rid of the tough prune skins.
