Pear puree - stage 1 baby food
Popular pear varieties like Buerre Bosc, Packham and Winter Nellis make sweet tasting purées. Try mixing with baby rice or other fruit purées once your baby is happy with the flavour of pear.
- 2 Pears
- 2 Dried prunes
- Peel and core then cut into even sized pieces.
- Put in a saucepan, cover with water.
- Bring water to the boil and cook over a low heat until tender - around 6 to 8 minutes.
- Blend the cooked pear with a little of the cooking water to make a smooth purée.
Suitable for freezing.
