
Pumpkin scones

These maple-sweetened pumpkin scones are perfect for morning tea, afternoon tea, or even high tea. They are easy to prepare, healthy and delicious!

Ingredients
1 cup cold mashed pumpkin
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 egg
2 cups wholemeal flour
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 teaspoon mixed spice
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon milk
1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
Method
In a bowl combine flour, maple syrup, baking powder and mixed spice. The combine it with the butter using a knife and your finger tips to work the butter into the flour mixture. Add the egg, mashed pumpkin and milk and mix until just combined.
Put a touch more than a spoonful per scone onto a lined tray and add a handful or less of pumpkin seeds to the top
Cook for 10-15 minutes on 200 degrees or until golden brown.
