Walnut banana bread
Our walnut banana loaf is great toasted for morning tea, served as an afternoon sweet treat, or as a dessert when drizzled with our decadent butterscotch sauce. Check out our recipe for butterscotch sauce here.
Tip: To garnish, sprinkle a handful of toasted Pams Walnut Pieces over top of your loaf after baking.

- 125g Pams Butter, softened
 - ½ cup Pams White Sugar
 - 2 tsp Pams Vanilla Essence
 - 2 Pams Free Range Eggs
 - 2 large, ripe bananas, mashed
 - ¼ tsp Pams Baking Soda
 - 2 cups Pams Self Raising Flour
 - 1 pack (70g) Pams Walnut Pieces
 
Method
- Cream the butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
 - Add the mashed banana and walnuts to the creamed mixture. Sift in the self raising flour and baking soda, then fold together, being careful not to overmix.
 - Pour the batter into a large loaf tin lined with baking paper. Bake in an oven preheated to 180? for 45 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean when placed in the centre. Leave to cool.
