Marinated eye fillet steak

Cooking time: 10 minutes

"This is a recipe I made up many years ago and I think it is absolutely delicious."



  • 4 beef eye fillet steaks
  • 1 Tbsp plum sauce (Delmaine)
  • 1 Tbsp sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp brown sugar (or honey)
  • Half tsp red curry paste
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 cm piece ginger, grated
  • Sprinkle of salt & pepper

  1. In a bowl combine plum sauce, sweet chilli sauce, fish sauce, sugar, curry paste, garlic, ginger, salt & pepper. Mix well.
  2. Add steaks and coat in marinade. Cover and refrigerate for a couple of hours.
  3. Heat a little oil in a fry pan on high heat, pick up steaks with tongs and shake most of the marinade off then cook to your liking (about 3-4 mins each side).
