Packed full of goodness and all kinds of fun, these kid-friendly smoothies are made for our tamariki! Whether they prefer a Chunky Monkey, Strawberries & Cream or a Green Hulk smoothie, each of these drinks is just as delicious as they are nutritious; with hidden nuts, veggies and fruit that the kids won’t suspect.

Chunky Monkey Smoothie

  • 1 banana, frozen
  • Handful fresh spinach
  • 1 Tbsp peanut butter 
  • 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • ½ cup ice
  • Milk of your choice

Strawberries & Cream

  • ½ cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 banana 
  • ¼ cup yoghurt of your choice
  • Handful of cashew nuts 
  • Milk of your choice 

Green Hulk Smoothie

  • 1 banana
  • ¼ avocado
  • Handful of fresh spinach or kale
  • 1 kiwifruit 
  • 2tsp chia or hemp seeds
  • ½ cup ice
  • Milk of your choice 

Method

  1. Place all of your chosen smoothie ingredients into a blender, then blend with enough milk to reach your desired consistency. Serve and enjoy!

TIP:

Pour any of these smoothies into ice block moulds and freeze overnight for a healthy summer treat! 

Have bananas in the fruit bowl that are looking a little too ripe? Peel, then dice and freeze in a container to have ready for smoothies any day of the week!
