Apple almond torte

- 1/2 cup of butter - at room temperature
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 8 0z cream cheese - at room temperature
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 3 large apples peeled & sliced
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- icing sugar
Method
Pastry:
- Cream butter, sugar, & vailla. Stir in the flour. Press into bottom & side of a 23 cm buttered springform torte tin.
Filling:
- Beat cream cheese & sugar, add vanilla & egg. Pour into pastry-lined tin.
Topping:
- Mix sugar & cinnamon together & toss the sliced apple in it. Arrange the apples over the filling. Top with the sliced almonds
Baking
- Place a baking tray into oven. Preheat oven and tray to 190°C. Place torte onto hot tray. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden. Stand in pan for 10 minutes.
- Place onto a wire rack to cool. Serve.
