Cooking time: 0

If you want to trick yourself of your kids into healthier eating - try these easy bliss balls for a snack.

  • 1 Tablespoon no-added sugar or salt Peanut butter
  • ½ cup dates
  • 2 Tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • ½ cup natural almonds
  • 2 Tablespoons water

  1. Put all ingredients into a food processor (or blender), scraping down the sides of the container and blending again until you get an equally smooth consistency.
  2. Chill for at least an hour before eating.

Use alternatives based on your preference and what you have available at home.

For example, you could substitute the cranberries for sultanas, raisins, goji berries, or freeze dried raspberries. The peanut butter can be exchanged for almond or cashew butter in the case of allergies.

You can also add seeds for added nutrition, taste and texture e.g. chia or toasted sesame.
