Feijoa cream

Feijoas are really versatile and can be used in both sweet and savory dishes. This NZ grown fruit is in season from April to June - So give this delicious recipe a try and make the most of feijoa season.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 feijoas

  • chopped walnuts

  • 225g plain yoghurt

  • 4 Tbsp skimmed milk powder

  • 1-2 Tbsp clear honey

Method

  1. Peel the feijoas.

  2. Press through a sieve.

  3. Place all ingredients, except walnuts, in blender and blend until smooth.

  4. Pour into glasses.

  5. Chill until set.

  6. Serve with chopped walnuts sprinkled on top.

Tips:

  • Looking for a dairy free option? Use your favourite dairy free yoghurt instead of greek yoghurt, and swap out the milk powder for almond, oat, or soy milk!
