30 minute meatball chilli
A comforting casserole pot of meatball chilli is ready in 30 minutes. This simple family-friendly meal is made of pantry staples from kidney beans and black beans to diced tomatoes, onions and garlic. It combines meatballs with a rich tomato sauce, flavoured with a taco spice mix.

- 400g of your favourite meatballs
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pack (35g) taco spice mix
- 1 can (400g) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (400g) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 cans (800g) diced tomato in juice
Method
- Bring a drizzle of oil to medium-high heat in a large casserole pot. Cook the meatballs for a few minutes on each side or until golden. Remove from the pot and set aside on a plate.
- Add the onion and garlic into the casserole pot. Sauté for a few minutes or until softened.
- Stir in the taco spice mix, kidney beans, black beans and diced tomatoes.
- Return the meatballs back into the pot. Season with salt and pepper.
- Bring to a simmer, cover and cook for 10 minutes or until the meatballs have cooked through. Serve and enjoy.
Tips:
- Tortilla chips, grated cheese, sour cream and coriander add the perfect finishing touch to this meatball chilli.
