Important dates for the 2021 New World Beer & Cider Awards competition.
Tuesday 1 December | Entries open |
Wednesday 10 February | Entries close at 5pm |
Thursday 11 February | Confirmation of entries, instructions for samples emailed to entrants. An invoice for entry fees will be emailed on Friday 12 February. |
Friday 19 February | Final date for receiving samples and entry fee payment. Arrangements can be made for receiving late samples of new brews until Friday 26 February – please contact [email protected] |
Tuesday 2 & Wednesday 3 March | Judging takes place at Addington Events Centre in Christchurch |
Thursday 4 March | Judging results confirmed by email. All medal results are confidential and embargoed – The dates of lifting the embargo to New World stores and of lifting the public embargo will be confirmed by email from the Competition Director. |
Friday 5 March | Suppliers of the 30 top-ranked beers & ciders contacted to confirm their product(s) meet the entry criteria. |
Tuesday 9 March | Midday deadline for suppliers of the 30 top-ranked beers & ciders to confirm their product(s) meet the entry criteria |
Wednesday 10 March | Full instructions emailed to suppliers of the Top 30 beers & ciders that meet the entry criteria for inclusion in the 4-week nationwide promotion |
Wednesday 17 March | For the supplier of each Top 30 product, by this date: • New suppliers to Foodstuffs must complete the documentation to become a Foodstuffs Approved Supplier • The product must be set up either via GS1 ProductFlow or Data eXpress (DEX). |
Date TBC | The public embargo on results is lifted. The date of lifting the public embargo will be confirmed by email from the Competition Director. |
