Nothing evokes the taste of summers past like homemade lemonade! This recipe makes a delightful tangy lemon cordial which you dilute to taste. Add fizzy water for lemonade or freeze into refreshing ice blocks.
- 2kg caster sugar
- 1 litre water
- 30g citric acid (if you buy a 25g packs that will do)
- 30g tartaric acid (if you buy a 25g packs that will do)
- Dissolve all together then let cool.
- Once cool add juice of 6 lemons strained - then zest of 2 lemons.
Makes 3 x 750ml bottles of syrup.
