Heart of Darkness Some Sorcerer Hazy IPA
What to expect:
Juicy fruit salad with a grassy bite
Heart of Darkness is a Vietnam-based brewery with a New Zealander as their head brewer. They are quite the craft darlings in Vietnam and their beer comes to New Zealand thanks to Behemoth brewing it under licence in Auckland. This packs way more grunt and flavour than the 6.5% ABV might indicate. Loads of ripe tropical fruit, like a banana smoothie made with a tin of fruit salad blitzed in, but there's just enough citrus and grassy bitterness to hold all the sweetness in check. A creamy, lush mouthfeels creates a chewy, hefty mouthful of beer with a surprisingly dry finish.

A Vietnam-brewed beer? Well Vietnamese food of course. This creamy, lush beer will contrast nicely with a shaking beef salad.
