Use and care tips to get the best out of your SMEG
Keep your Mini Cocottes, Medium and Large Baker looking their best:
Use silicone or nylon utensils. Avoid metal or sharp tools. Always use a hot pad or trivet before placing on an unprotected surface.
Dishwasher safe. Avoid harsh cleaners like oven cleaners, harsh detergents or chlorine bleach. When hand washing, use a sponge or dishcloth and dry with a soft towel. Don't use steel wool or nylon scrubbing pads.
Safe up to 260°C. Don't use it in the microwave or oven when you've just taken it out of the fridge or freezer to avoid thermal shock. Avoid direct flame, stovetop use, and grilling to prevent damage.
Keep your Cast Iron Braiser in top condition:
Avoid harsh detergents. Soak with warm water for 15-20 minutes before washing to remove tough food residue. Don't use an oven cleaner, steel wool, aggressive detergents or chlorine-based bleach.
Handwash only. Not suitable for the dishwasher. Let the Braiser cool down fully and remove any food residue with a soft washing-up brush or nylon cloth.
Use a soft sponge/cloth or nylon brush. Use a soft sponge/cloth or nylon brush. Use wooden, plastic or heat-resistant nylon cooking utensils to avoid scratching the enamelled cast iron. Don't cut into or strike utensils on the edge as this can results in chips in the enamel.
Dry thoroughly. We recommend wiping a thin film of vegetable oil with a paper towel before heating up to avoid rust developing. Don't use any kind of oil spray such as an atomiser, mister or pump system as this can cause build-up.

Q: When can I redeem stickers?
A: New World customers can redeem stickers from Monday 09 June 2025 to Sunday 11.59pm on Sunday 31 August 2025. This promotion will run strictly while stocks last, this means if any of the SMEG Kitchenware products run out, the promotional period may end earlier than initially advertised. Demand for items will vary between stores, this may result in some participating stores running out of stock of one or more SMEG Kitchenware products before official end date. We always advise customers to redeem stickers as they go to avoid missing out.
Q: How can I earn stickers?
A: To collect a sticker, you must spend $20 or more (excluding spend on Christmas Club deposits, gift cards, prepaid debit cards, travel card top ups, phone card top ups, tobacco products, New Zealand Lotteries tickets and purchases paid for through charge accounts or purchases intended for wholesale or resale) in a single transaction at any participating store during the promotion period (Qualifying Spend).
For every $20 spent in one transaction after any applicable discounts (“Qualifying Spend”) at any New World store, or at New World Online, New World will provide customers with one sticker. Customers do not have to collect stickers or participate in the promotion.
During the promotion, New World customers can also look out for bonus products which will be available on selected products to help shoppers earn additional stickers (with a minimum $20 spend). Please note: In some instances, you may need to purchase the multi deal to be eligible for a bonus sticker.
Q: Do I earn stickers when I make a cash top up?
A: Yes, when you make a cash top up you will earn stickers.
Q: Where do I find a list of the participating products for the Bonus Stickers?
A: Keep an eye out for our special Bonus Sticker offers on selected products in-store and online to help speed up your sticker collection. A full list of participating brands can be found newworld.co.nz
Q: Can I collect and redeem stickers at any New World store?
A: Yes, customers can earn stickers at any New World store across both the North and South Island and online. You can redeem your stickers for SMEG products instore only in South Island stores, and both online and instore in North Island stores. The cash top up option is only available instore.
Q: Can I earn stickers when I shop online?
A: Yes. You will receive stickers in your online Click & Collect or Delivery order.
Q: What if the SMEG Kitchenware product I want is not available in my local store?
A: All our stores will have regular stock updates on their Facebook pages, as well as prominent signage in stores to let customers know what’s in stock, or if an item is temporarily out of stock or as we progress through the promotion if they have run out of stock on a particular item. If what you’re looking for isn’t available in your local store, there may be another option for you to consider (there are six items in total), or you can check the Facebook page of other stores for an update on what stock they have available.
Q: What if I lose my stickers?
A: Stickers should be treated like cash and cannot be replaced if lost or damaged.
Q: Can I share my stickers with someone else?
A: You’re welcome to share your stickers with friends and family. However, stickers are not cumulative – once you’ve redeemed a SMEG item you need to start a new booklet.
Q: Can I return or refund my product if I change my mind?
A: Redeemed products cannot be returned or refunded. However, in the unlikely event you find your product is faulty, it may be replaced. Please ensure to keep your receipt when you redeem your kitchenware as a proof of purchase and contact New World Customer Care.
Q: I’m not a Clubcard member, can I still redeem the Cast Iron Braiser?
A: This item is exclusive to our Clubcard members, but don’t worry it’s easy to join! Simply visit newworld.co.nz/clubcard or download the New World app to join.
Q: I just want the Cast Iron Braiser, but don’t want to do cash top up.
A: You can only redeem the Cast Iron Braiser with cash top up and scanning your Clubcard. As it’s a high value and high-quality product and to collect enough stickers alone (Every $20 spent = 1 sticker) would make these items out of reach for most customers. By including a cash top up these items are achievable for more customers. Because there is not a ‘set’ to collect some customers may focus on 1 or 2 of these items to collect during the promotion.
Q: What is cash top up and how does it work?
A: Our popular cash top up option is available on all six SMEG products and allows customers to get their chosen pieces a little quicker as you need fewer stickers to redeem an item. All you need to do is check out the number of stickers required and the cash top up amount for a particular item and as soon as you have the right number of stickers, and the item is in stock, you can redeem with stickers and cash at checkout. The SMEG Cast Iron Braiser is only redeemable with the sticker and cash top up option (45 stickers + $60) when you scan your Clubcard.
Q: Are you going to run out of stock?
A: The promotion is planned to last for 12 weeks but is strictly while stocks last. With every redemption giveaway, we recommend customers collect and redeem as they go to avoid disappointment. We strongly advise you don’t wait too long to redeem. We anticipate that much like our previous campaigns, there may be SMEG items that prove to be more popular, so get your favourites first!
Q: What happens if I have stickers left over at the end of the promotion?
A: Customers can redeem SMEG items that are still available in store for two weeks following the end of the promotion - until 14th September or while stocks last. Once the promotion finishes, any remaining stickers cannot be used for future promotions.
Q: Can I use the SMEG stickers from the SMEG Knife campaign?
A: You won’t be able to use your stickers from previous campaigns and will need a valid SMEG sticker to redeem your chosen item.
Q: I spend a lot at your store each week for my business with a charge account, why can’t I collect stickers?
A: Unfortunately, as per the terms and conditions of the promotion charge account purchases are excluded. This promotion is designed for household shoppers and bulk shops may have an impact on stock levels. -
